Working together for Curaçao’s future
Guided by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, Club17 connects people, businesses, government, NGO’s and local projects to create impact together.
Club17 Curaçao
Club17 Curaçao is a network of local stakeholders across all sectors, each committed to making their community more sustainable. They work together by linking initiatives on the island and engaging the wider community around a shared vision. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are their guiding compass.

Sustainable Development Goals
For us, the SDGs are not global rules, they are a language. A way to make abstract goals concrete and translate them into Curaçao’s reality. They give us a common ground to talk with government, businesses, NGOs, and each other. They inspire us to aim higher and address challenges we might otherwise overlook. And because 192 other countries also work with the SDGs, they connect Curaçao to global knowledge and experience.

Club17 Curaçao Water Refill Program
Club17 reduces single-use plastic by promoting refillable bottles
Our first project is the Club17 Curaçao Water Refill Program. This initiative reduces single-use plastic by promoting refillable bottles and refill stations across the island. Visitors can enjoy Curaçao’s high-quality tap water — healthy, refreshing and a true taste of the island. The bottle is designed by a local artist Deidre Polonius, making it both a sustainable choice and a meaningful souvenir. From 2026, the bottles will be …

“We are called Club17 because SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals — is at the heart of everything we do. It’s more than a name. It’s a commitment: only by working together can we achieve all other goals.”
Curaçao Sustainability Map
See how much is already happening! The map highlights local green spots and sustainable initiatives — from refill points to EV charging stations. It keeps growing as more projects are added, showing the power of collective action on Curaçao.
Curaçao Local Impact Program (CLIP) – launching in 2026
With CLIP we make it easy for everyone to contribute directly to local sustainability. Companies, organizations and individuals can support projects through small donations or sustainable choices. Contributions go to initiatives such as nature restoration, education, clean energy and social programs. Through our interactive platform, every contribution is visible. You see the concrete impact created — and how each initiative connects directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Tourists can also join in. Every visit becomes a gift back to the island. Together, we turn small actions into big change.
